I keep getting these notifications from Lookout that my iPhone is jailbroken. I know it is, so I poked around and there is no way to turn off this specific alert without disabling the app. Does anyone know a way? |

Hmm.. The only way I could think of would be disabling that app from sending any kind of push notification, unless there is a setting in the app (did you try looking to see if that app has a menu in the Settings app?). On another note, what don't you like about Find My iPhone? It integrates much better than a third party app can. Find my iPhone costs money, lol. Plus, I have a 3G and it's not compatible with it, I think? Find my iPhone shouldn't cost money...I got it for free from the app store at least! I had to create a mobile me email address for it but that was free as well (I think apple used to charge for it but don't any more). It should work on any iDevice running iOS 3.1.3 or higher so your 3G should be compatible According to Apple, nope. This is what I get on the mobile me site: http://goo.gl/DujtY. Did you try downloading the app? I was able to use it on my iPod Touch 2nd gen (basically the same as the 3G) and didn't have to sign up for MobileMe. I think you just have to download the app and enter your Apple ID/password. Then that email will be associated with it. Again, according to Apple, no. http://goo.gl/Y6seZ Do you have access to any newer devices that can run iOS 5? I think the reason I can access it on my 2nd gen is because I set it up on a 4th gen iPod. If you can borrow someone's iPod or iPhone for a minute, I think you should be able to just setup your account with MobileMe on their device, then set it up on yours, and then you should be able to delete it from the newer device. I don't have any access to ones that run iOS 5, other than the iPhone 4 I own, but I stupidly left it overseas in D.R. -.-
