What is the best video editing software for Mac OS 10? That will not break the bank.

I would defiantly say iMovie 11' is the best option that won't break the bank

Yeah, iMovie '11. The next step up worth mentioning would be Final Cut Pro for $300. It's an awesome program, I just upgraded from FCP7 and I LOVE it. But if iMovie suits all your needs then hey, you've already got it. No cost.

I know they're working on a Mac OS X version of LIghtworks, the open-source professional editing software. I'll definitely be downloading that when it's released.

And if you're looking to do any VFX or motion graphics, Motion 5 is only $50 in the App Store. Pretty amazing considering the capabilities of the program.

KDenLive can be compiled for Mac. It works pretty well. It's free.
