Tips for good headshot photography.

I got to an arts high school. A lot of my peers are interested of getting head shots and I'm kind of know as the photographer. I could possibly start cashing in if I do a good job and that will help support my future works. Are there any suggestions for good headshot photography? Links to photos are much appreciated. :)
