I am really into technology and making videos. I want to share my knowledge and start making technology videos on YouTube but I have one major problem: I am not a confident speaker. I am generally a very shy, mumbly person. I have uploaded YouTube videos in the past and I have been told about how I speak and have been trolled a few times. I have since removed the videos as I had to agree with them. My voice is generally quite deep anyway (for a 14 year old). As mentioned, I tend to "mutter" in my videos and ramble. My question to the community is, how can I speak confidently on camera, engage with my audience and get my message out? I am just eager to start making videos as it is my passion. |

I would suggest writing/typing out what you're going to say ahead of time. I would go over it a couple of times, or even use a free teleprompter program to read it out. |

I agree fully with what @jwire4 said, also don't worry about all of the comments on YouTube that trolls LOVE to post. If you speak confidently and from the heart, you should be able to tune them out. |

You should NEVER listen to any trolls of any type. Trolls are a waste of everything and listening to them is a complete mistake. They should be bashed, laughed at then quickly blocked, not listened to. Anyways, the best way to not mutter and speak confidently is to just think happy thoughts, think good in yourself and don't think of the possible people (trolls or not) watching the video |
