Speaking confidently on YouTube?

I am really into technology and making videos. I want to share my knowledge and start making technology videos on YouTube but I have one major problem: I am not a confident speaker.

I am generally a very shy, mumbly person. I have uploaded YouTube videos in the past and I have been told about how I speak and have been trolled a few times. I have since removed the videos as I had to agree with them.

My voice is generally quite deep anyway (for a 14 year old). As mentioned, I tend to "mutter" in my videos and ramble.

My question to the community is, how can I speak confidently on camera, engage with my audience and get my message out? I am just eager to start making videos as it is my passion.

1	I would suggest writing/typing out what you're going to say ahead of time. I would go over it a couple of times, or even use a free teleprompter program to read it out. answered Feb 13 '12 at 22:26 jwire4 1.2k●50●55●69

You should NEVER listen to any trolls of any type. Trolls are a waste of everything and listening to them is a complete mistake. They should be bashed, laughed at then quickly blocked, not listened to. Anyways, the best way to not mutter and speak confidently is to just think happy thoughts, think good in yourself and don't think of the possible people (trolls or not) watching the video

I have been on the Tube for a few years. Last year I closed my biggest channel with about 10k subs.

I just got bored of the people who think that they have the right to say shit about you every time.

I restarted my new channel and found it to be a lot better.. Some how people pick on one channel and love another.

Either way you get good and bad times.

Just make sure you keep confident and you will soon get there..

What's funny is that all the people who say crap have either crappy videos or no videos at all. It's all hypocritical and idiotic what those "people" do.
