Do you have Siri on your iPhone? When the iPhone 4s came out Siri was the most popular produce that came out on the 4S but after time people started to find Siri boring and not useful. Most people used Siri for the first few weeks the iPhone 4s came out and then they said that they don't need it anymore. What do you think? Is Siri used in your everyday life or do you just leave it behind and forget about it or do not need it anymore. |

I have a 3Gs, so I don't have Siri, but I did have Siri when it was a standalone app before the 4s came out. Being a separate app that wasn't fully integrated with the OS it was a little less convenient, but I still used it rather often. If I had a 4s I would probably use Siri all the time. You just have to get used to operating that way, and it can be very convenient and efficient. |

i use it all the time to call and text people :) |

i use it almost every day for reminders and alarms, although the "magic" has worn off since i got it, it is useful and does make using my phone easier |

But why I am just asking why do you need SIRI to do things like send a text? I don't get that. It just makes your life more lazier when you tell the phone to text. If your deaf which I am a little bit SIRI is out of the question for you but SIRI is useful for people with 1 arm! Not to be mean but that is the truth! |

A shit phone because they focus more on security and reliability as opposed to customization? They could put all that pointless software on an iPhone if they wanted but it would make it laggy. Or they could let anyone put any app on it if they want but people would use it to steal data or brick phones. I'd rather have a simple looking phone that works, has all the same features just less customizable, and is protected than a phone with moving backgrounds that freezes crashes apps constantly.
That being said, Siri is still a fad. Cool, but a gimik to the 4S. It runs in the cloud, they can put it on about any iPhone just don't so they can sell more of the 4S. Smart business plan, but sucks.
Actually, there are more reasons than marketing for why Siri isn't on older iOS devices. For example, the iPhone 4S has an altered microphone which allows it to work better when further away from the speakers mouth.
