New Features:

  • Messages - new version of iChat with iMessage support
  • Reminders - create lists and tasks, synced via iCloud
  • Notes - create notes, synced via iCloud
  • Notification Center - on screen pop-up notifications
  • Share Sheets - share buttons to email, tweet, message, etc...
  • Game Center - social gaming center for Mac
  • AirPlay Mirroring - broadcast your Mac's screen to your Apple TV

I'm not drooling over anything, but AirPlay Mirroring will be really convenient. Notifications could be nice too.

I'm really looking forward to Messages. Since iOS 5 came out, I've loved the whole concept of iMessage. Now that they've ported it over to the Mac, I love it even more. I've tried out the public beta and am really enjoying it. I spend far more time on my Mac than on my iPod, so It'll be nice to be able to communicate with people from my dual-screen mac instead of the 3.5" iPod.

Yeah I just downloaded the Messages beta. I've realized this will be awesome with Notification Center on the Mac. I won't have to unlock my iPhone and type on a small virtual keyboard. Really looking forward to that. Plus it's a quick way to send videos and pics to my phone from my Mac.

I can't really narrow a few of them down. I'd say my top three choices would be Messages, Notes, and Share Sheets.

Airplay Mirroring for sure. I've been waiting a long time for a feature like this. It's definitely going to be very useful and if it can be done right, with little to no latency and good frame rate, then it will be worth waiting for.

I really like the Messages app. I've already tried the beta and its fun. I like using my keyboard vs the small on screen keyboard. It works excellently. My only hope is that the 2010 white unibody doesn't get outdated or else I am stuck on Lion.

I almost guarantee you'll be able to upgrade. Right now, late 2008 and later MacBooks are working wirh the developer version. I have the early 2011 pro and early 2008 white. I can run it on the pro but I'm stuck with lion on the 2008 white MacBook. Google for system requirements and you'll See a list of compatible systems.

I don't really know which one is my favorite. Probably the Notification Center, though I don't have a lot of notifications haha. I

What I will probably be looking for is a speed increase. Apparently there's 100 features coming with Mountain Lion, and I hope one of them is speed boost! That would be awesome to have a FASTER experience!!! :D
