Hello, I've had braces for almost a year and have had a problem with flossing. For those of you that have had braces, you know how seriously orthodontists take flossing with braces. But my hands are too big and my mouth is too small. So whenever I try to floss, it comes out as a big mess. I use a water pick but I know that's never quite as good as flossing. If I didn't have braces, I could just use the floss picks so I don't have to stick my hands in my mouth. I use a Listerine twice a day in addition to a water pick in the morning and at night. But the floss thing still bugs me. Is there any other alternative? I really don't want to have to explain to my dentist (who like all dentists, asks me every time I go in for a cleaning) next week why I don't floss. Thanks! ~James |

There's this neat little electronic device called an AirFloss, I started using it when i first got my braces, it works great, however I believe it costs $60? It basically shoots a high-powered jolt of water through the cracks in your teeth. Sounds painful, i know. Trust me it's not AT ALL.
