So basically with the new iPad, the debate for which company to go with on the 4G models really comes down to wether you want a wider coverage and tethering enabled 2GB plan with Verizon or a smaller coverage, no tethering (for now) 3GB plan with AT&T... Honestly I'm pretty split right now as to which I would rather go with. Although Verizon seems like the clear winner for many, that extra gigabyte of usage is pretty convincing... What do you guys think?

Find out the coverage in your area, and see if you can find someone with the plan you are interested in and see if they can run a speedtest.
verizon generally has higher speeds but there are locations where AT&T is faster.
PS 2GB for an ipad is really not enough.

Verizon plans to have 4G LTE in 400 cities by the end of this year. AT&T has HSPA+ which is faster than Verizon's 3G if you are in an area without 4G LTE coverage. Personally I don't think tethering with an iPad is all that useful since the iPad was made to replace the computer which you'd probably tether to it.
