I have a lot of problems with Safari so I downloaded Chrome. I used Chrome for years living in New Orleans and grew to love it. After a job change I had to move to Huntsville Al. I had to start using Firefox living here because Chrome wouldn't load pages or would only load them in text (just like Safari) or continuously load the "server not found" page. I can ping chrome and get the server location back, but that doesn't seem to matter. Does your location in the country have any effect on whether a browser works well? My internet is great, super-fast. I've also tried chrome over gigabit ethernet to see if it was wi-fi giving me problems, no effect. Thanks for any advice or input.

This should be filed under WTF!!! and it has nothing to do with the browser, it is probably a DNS issue, or more plausible is that you have malware and viruses, on your Laptop or PC. And seeing as you specified Safari I am guessing you are on a Mac, please don't think you cant get viruses on a mac...

If you are able to (only famillar with windows) try to obtain portable versions of the browsers and try to figure out if its a configuration issue. Portable versions will not need installed and therfore will not clash with what you have on your system already. Ideally if you can test release and perhaps beta or older versions should they be available.
