I have had the most painful time with our router, check this out;
That is the signal strength from 3 metres away! So i think it is time for a new router! My question is wether to get a Router or a Modem router, but what is the difference? Why is one just a router and the other one has a modem in it? And what are the advantages of having a modem router that having just a stand alone router?

The all-in-one Modem Router combination would help you avoid IP conflicts of configuring multiple wireless routers on the same network.
You might also look into getting a pair of powerline adapters, that act like an ethernet cable.
Broadband Over Powerlines (BPL), HomePlug, IEEE P1901, etc. have been around for many years. It's used in Europe & Asia, and slowly being adopted in the U.S.A. I've installed & use Panasonic BL-PA100KTA HD-PLC Ethernet Adaptor BL-PA100A units.
