It's not like I hate those roll on things, they just make my pits itchy at about 8 hours later regardless of what I use. And I sometimes work from 9am to 12 midnight without a proper break, so a shower mid-shift would be out of the question.
Also, even in the morning when I take a shower and rigorously rub my pits with soap, the smell is still there. Gets worst when I don't fan-dry myself properly as soon as possible.

Step one EXERCISE. the cause of the smell is probably fat deposits. it's literally formed out of adipose tissue or known as fat under your armpit. so before you take a bath, bath yourself with sweat / perspiration by weight lifting or any exercise for the arm. that'd remove the "juice"
Step 2. use Deodorant. yep, there's no other way around. you don't need to buy a very fragrant deodorant. but you'll need an alluminum based one. the spray won't work as its composition is only fragrance and alcohol. you need aluminum. be sure to find the right brand for you, cause other brands will make your underpit dark. while aluminum should actually make it whiter.
step 3. check your soap. I use safeguard. but I don't know what's good for you, we have different skins and thus different products I cannot recommend a brand.
the itch is due to the incompatibility of you and the roll on, have you tried all of them? if so maybe you're allergic and I don't know how to fix that except to drink anti-histamines. (but beware cause anti-histamines could knock you to sleep.)
Step4. consult your dermatologist if you want a more expert advise

hm. you got a break somewhere in your sched? try to clean your armpit in between. it will remove the Previous deo, and then apply another one. ( a big hassle i know :( but maybe worth a try. )
when I'm at home during weekends I exercise w/o deo. no one will smell it anyways. hahahha then I bath..
the deo works as anti perspirant. so the rest of your body sweats but your armpit doesn't - that being said., the juice is kinda stocked cause it's always trapped and stopped.
try to sweat out w/o deo if you have time just to squeeze them out. i'm not really scientific sure about this, but it's the way I keep mine. and its working ever since.
and I forgot., AVOID SPICY FOODS / SPICE-RICH FOODS ESP ONIONS. experience wise, it helps. and a LOT.

Try making a mixture of baking soda and salt with a small amount of water. Roughly 20 parts baking soda, 1 parts salt, 3 parts water. Stir it into a paste. Apply before bathing. Bathe pits furiously. Apply mixture again after bathing. Wipe away after three to five minutes, apply wipe-on women's Secret unscented. That's right, Secret. It's the only thing that's worked for me since I was 16 years old. Anything else wears off quickly or ends up contributing to the stink.
The baking soda will absorb the grease, oil and bio-matter that cause the smell. The salt opens your pours and allows the baking soda to do it's job better. Eventually you will only need to apply it before bathing. The women's Secret is an extremely powerful deodorant and antiperspirant but has no perfume or cologne and is intended to be gentle.
Also, get a soap like dial or lever2000 that has no perfume of fragrance and most importantly, no lotion, conditioner or moisturizing oils. If you only use it on your armpits that's fine, you can keep your favorite soap for everywhere else. You want to clean your pits and leave nothing behind.
I am not a doctor, if you're having any related health issues see a doctor immediately. I learned this in highschool over 10 years ago from my wrestling coach, and still do it occasionally because I continue to suffer (well, my girlfriend continues to suffer) outrageous bouts of pit-stench. Be sure to remove the baking soda/ salt mixture thoroughly, it can cause a rash if not. Good luck. Hope you get results.
