I recently had to free up some space on my Android phone and accidentally deleted all my contacts in the process. And ever since I have been unable to save new contacts. I can enter all the info and it seems like it did save but when I go into my contacts there is only one person there. But when someone calls or sends me a text message it shows up as the name I saved that contact as.

I already have made sure that it is showing all available contacts and that it is even showing contacts without a phone number as suggested on several Android forums without success.

Any suggestions?

PS: The phone in Question is an LG Optimus T

It looks like contacts were not the only thing carelessly lost in your clean-up. Maybe it's time for a Hard Reset?

Are you sure you can even do that without having rooted the phone first? I was only clearing data caches (mostly from games) and moving apps to the SD card.

I'll do a Hard Reset if I don't find another solution as the only problem is that the contacts are not visible.

Have you tried going through the software to update your contacts from the computer to your cell. I know with my Galaxy Gio that I have from Samsung. I can do it on the phone itself ot doing it on my computer using KIES which Samsumg suggest to use to update my contact list and it can do a few other things for it as well. I went to LG online here for your particular model of phone it looks like they have something there for yours as well.

Take a look into it it looks like it is an application where you can also do a live update as well for your phone as well as update your contact list. But make sure when yu save the contacts that you can save it to the device which is your phone and make a back up copy of it onto your hard drive as well.
