Is a netbook good enough?

I am considering to buy a laptop soon. I am looking at the netbooks because of their price.

What I will be doing is browsing the internet, making word documents, and maybe a movie or two will be watched either online or a file.

So the ones I have looked into are HP Mini and Dell Mini.

For those who have netbooks, are they fast/good enough for you? I If not, should I go with a "better" and bigger laptop?

Uses: NOT gaming NOT video editing Web surfing Creating documents Watching a movie, doesnt need to be in 1080p

It depends what your uses for it are if you are getting it for gaming its not worth it if you are getting for video editing not worth it if you are getting it for video streaming its worth it if you are getting it for internet it is worth it if you are getting it for youtube videos it not worth it becuase you might not be able to watch 1080p videos at a good refresh rate :)

I think it will get good enough refresh rates if their is a dedicated video card. And youtube videos can be buffered, so he has to wait a bit longer.

It all depends on you.

If all you want to do are those things, then sure, their good enough. It will load movies a bit slow and might be slow to responde, but that's all. If you want to do more complex things (like gaming or video-editing) it will draw you to tears. Hope it helped.
