So I'm at a conference and forgot to take my micro sd card reader with me. But I need to get a picture from my phone onto my computer ASAP. Since I had to fly to the conference and took the hotel bus to the hotel I do not have a car at my disposal to buy another one. My laptop only supports regular sd/sdhc cards. What would you do in my situation?

I realize I could call a cab to take me somewhere where I could buy one but that could get very expensive and I would prefer to use other means to accomplish the task if possible.

Question does your computer have bluetooth,(assuming your phone already does) you can make a file transfer by pairing your phone to your computer through control panel, and "add a device"

Unfortunatly it does not but this would be a good option for those that do. I appreciate the suggestion even though I could not use it.

Do you have internet connection?

I guess so as you are posting this....

Go into the market or store and download WIFI folder.

You can get to your files using the internet or local network.

Great idea. Yes I do have an internet connection. But I chose to go with the e-mail option since I did not have to download an app to do it and I preffer to download apps using WIFI at home since downloading to much apps would take me over my monthly data limit (and hotel WIFI cost an extra $20 per device). I will consider getting the app once I get back home.

My phone can create it's own wireless network & then my laptop syncs...does yours have this?

Look into dropbox. I use it to keep everything I have synced. If say I want to transfer music to my phone but I am in a rush. I just drag it all to my dropbox folder on my computer and tell it to sync. Then I can be out the door while my phone syncs with that folder. Pretty handy little app.

Email is the way to go. For a more long term fix you could look into getting a file manager that can log into samba share. I can't say for IOS but Android got more than a few files manager that can do that.
