How do i make a successful website?

I have recently opened a blog called: Technology Droid and I was wondering how I could get this to the level where a good flow of visitors are coming in to make a community out of it. Any business tips, advertising tips are welcome.

I am also using wordpress.org CMS system.

Ultimately, all the tricks in the world won't help if you're not producing well-written, original material providing insight or information that can't be picked up at thousand other better established sites. And, frankly, a quick scan of your site doesn't suggest that you are doing any of those things. A review of Windows 8 in which your first statement is that you couldn't be bothered to install it and see for yourself? Seriously?

Thank you for your answer, The windows 8 article has since been updated as i have now installed Windows 8 on my other laptop, All the material and reviews on the site have been written by me or either one of the other columnists

My tip: Make videos. Most people are not gonna read your stuff, that's a hard reality you have to face. This happened to lockergnome (kinda). Videos are a great way to show people what the articles are about and an easy way to get people excited about what you made. Only text isn't going to cut it. You don't need to invest in a big camera or things like that (although it would probably help). Just try to explain in a short video what you want to say.

Here are some tips that seem to work well...

Keep in simple and sleek, no protruding features
Make sure your articles are "short and sweet"
Articles should be the main focus of your homepage
Get a real domain (which it appears as though you have already done)
And have fun (write about stuff that is interesting to you)

Here are my tips:

Write unique content that's actually intriguing to read (nothing boring)
Inject your personality into your writing or videos
Keeps ads minimal
Submit your posts to reddit because they have subreddits (parts of the site based on various niches)
Join blogging communities like Blog Engage, Blog Interact, and Blokube
Make your site easy to navigate
Build relationships with other bloggers
Tell people why they should subscribe

Blogging is just one of those things that takes time to build up. My blog is somewhat successful as I've doing all of the above and writing top-quality, thought-provoking posts for months and constantly learning new Internet marketing tactics through other blogs and Google searches. Just keep working at it and put the production of good content over everything that has to do with your blog.
