So my laptop has been giving me problems, I have restore it and re install Windows 7 four(4) times in the same week due to the same error, at startup says software is installed incorrectly or hardware issues, does not read the restore Cd's I made w/ HP and the Restore system within Windows did not respond the only thing that the laptop could read was the installation CD from Windows 7. It's not software issues since last time I only had Avast, Google Chrome and the OS installed in the computer I think the problem could be within a Windows Update that my hardware is not accepting but I am not sure.
Can you guys give me some advice?
PS sorry for posting in a lot of time.

If I remember correctly, we both have HP Tablet PCs which are the same model or a year apart. I'm still running Windows Vista, and never upgraded to Windows 7.
From what you've described, I'm guessing it's a drivers issue. Try looking up the latest drivers for your system's CD/DVD, and update. The system should be able to read your CD/DVD restore disks after that.
I hope this helps =0p...

If the previous post didn't solve your problem, it may be that the recovery discs you created are no good. To reinstall directly from the recovery partition:
Restart> hold down F11> follow prompts to reinstall your machine. *(sometimes F11 doesn't work- if so, try F5 or F8 as possible keys to reach the recovery partition).
