Currently every time I try to turn off my computer meaning my desktop I tend to get a BSOD error. I knew that the problem had something to do with my webcam. So I uninstalled all the drivers and then unplugged the webcam from the usb port. Next I uninstalled the software. It tells me to restart like normal and when I go to restart like normal by going to start and clicking shut down I get the BSOD. I did everything that was done and I don't know what else to do. I don't wanna reinstall Windows 7 pro because I like the way it's setup and I don't wanna waste my time installing it again because it took me a while to install 7 on this computer. Anyways I just want the BSOD to stop.

I have video of what the problem is Click here for video This video actually shows what I do and how I get the BSOD!

Below is a picture of the error I am getting when I get the BSOD alt text

1) wait it gives you a bsod when you're shutting off? 2) is this a cheap 20$ webcam from a drug store, if so i had the same problem

assuming its a pathogen, not a hardware failure, it most likely is fixable in the absolute sense, however cleaning these things up is harder and requires vastly more knowledge than simply hosing the drive with zeros and reinstalling something. i recommend www.bodhilinux.com

Problems like these you're just going to have to go down the list of possible culprits till you find the solution.

If it started after the webcam came into the picture then it's a driver/hardware issue. Try using a program to do a more thorough uninstall of the drivers.

Other possible areas to check are the drivers for your graphics card. Errors with ram and hard drives.

Find the log for this error and see if you can get any specific data from it.

Maybe there is a restore point you can restore to before all this started happening.

Theres that as well when you review the log as well. Take a look online with Microsoft to see what the error codes mean. I had one case personally. when Using several workstation. Where there was a problem with the BIOS for me on at least three computers and the computer kept crashing and coming up with some results. Spoke with the technician to get the proper updated BIOS firmware on the three and worked fine afterwards. I had to chase him down with the model numbers so he could get the drivers from the manufacturer of the computer.

Update all your drivers. Everything possible. IRQL_LESS_OR_NOT_EQUAL normally indicates a driver issue.

How can I find out when this problem first started happening so I could do a System Restore to before this problem happened so I can see if it still happens if I do a Restore to an earlier point
