Need to fix this suspension thing as well. I closed a spam question yesterday and went to remove the link and got kicked. That happend to me once a while back, either yesterday or the day before that I closed a second question thinking the same would happen again but it didn't. It might be set to a one time only event or one of the admins has to give you clearance as to not get suspended. That is a problem in the back-end of the OSQA code lockergnome.net is based off of. The code is part of a flood/spam protection the service has. We have no control on that part. If you are are accidentally suspended for "preventative suspension" email me and I can look into it and reinstate it. Do you know if it is a one time occurrence or does it check how active you are before deciding this preventive suspension? Should be able to bypass it if you make a usergroup that does not abide to it? Since they don't have control over it I don't think that there is a way to do this. Plus the current system is automated and there for cannot easily get a new usergroup to take care of it. As we have no way to control the protection system, I cannot say or do anything to change it. What I know is that it is based on how quick your actions are. If you go really quickly, you can get suspend by the flood bot. The problem is that even moderators can even be suspended for it also. Right now, it is in OSQA list of things to do. The best action as of right now is to go slower.

The No Solicitation says you may not promote anything you've made yourself, in the situation that a community member has a question that is not directly related to a piece of software but a other community members know about a piece of software that can help him and has no connection at all with the creators of that piece of software, would it he be allowed to share it? If someone is straight out asking for a piece of software directly then of-course it would be seen as an answer, given that it is a legitimate link and you aren't provething from it in any way. 1
If we have suspicion that the link to a software is spam, we have the right to suspended them (usually only happens to low karmers and people who just signed up; people with higher karma will not usually have the problem as long as it is to help someone with their question). The No Solicitation was set after people asking for people to work on their service/site. To prevent association and possible legal issues, we have it in place as a rule.
