I've downloaded hotspot shield as a network work around. i disconnected from the proxy service and shut down the application so i could enter a credit card into my paypal which was https. I am also on a mac do i have any reason to worry that it could of key logged my info?.. im a little paranoid lol |

They used to do it but no longer do. TBH your should not use it to access bank/PayPal. |

if you want to log into sites like facebook or lockergnome then make sure you set up a VPN if your router supports dd-wrt or tomato then you can use your router as a vpn server if not then windows xp, vista, and windows 7 has a built in pptp vpn server (though it is not as secure as something like openvpn but it is insanely easy to set up. all in all, when on a internet connection that is not your known, use a VPN before you log into anything, and even then, do not log into any kind of banking site do not rely on any kind of public VPN services as they are often less trustworthy than the hotspot you are connecting to (especially since many log what you do and they provide a centralized location for malicious users to access those records) Use your own VPN if you want privacy and security. |
Not using a kb works great. You can copy and paste from an encrypted file or password manager.
