[closed] No usb tv connection, how to get around problem?

So my tv has a usb port and when I want to watch a movie I just plug in the usb stick and literally takes seconds.

Was to a friends house the other day and about to watch a movie and they have no usb connection as it was an older model.

Still managed to watch it by connecting laptop with a hdmi cable.

My Question Is there is converter/cable that will connect from a usb stick to make it go into a hdmi connection in the tv.

I have been looking around online (ebay) to no avail but surely something like this is available

Or am I simply going about it the wrong way??

Unless the TV actually supports reading from the device you're going to have to use another piece of hardware to get it to work. DJ Scooby Doo is heading in the right direction with his answer. A nice little portable device like that would work just fine.
