[closed] Is facebook going to shut down soon?

I've been reading allot about Facebook on the internet. Ive read blogs , news and allot of other things about Facebook. I've read about Facebook getting shut down. I'm concerned about this because thats how i contact friends family etc. I would like if someone could tell me if it is true , or if it is a random rumor

Probably NOT true. I highly doubt Facebook is shutting down. Don't believe everything you read. There's a story going around about zombies?! Does that mean we should all prepare for a zombie attack?

On a side note, there are many other channels of communication than Facebook. If Facebook shutdown right now I would still be able to contact all the people I care about.

At this point in time, I would believe in Zombies being real more than Facebook shutting down.

rumours are every where though not impossible that facebook could be shut down its highly unlikely though there are countries where the internet is sensored and many sites including Facebook are block from public using them ..

not only did Facebook just have a public stock offer making it a very rich big time player they are now in talks with the developer of opera browser to purchase the browser and remodle it as the facebook browser in hopes of remaining competitive with the likes of Google microsoft yahoo and others soon without a doubt we will hear they will either be working on an operating system android to get involved with phones tablets music and cloud services which are becoming the necessaries norm for most technology today ..

facebook biggest worry about shutting down at this point is falling behind with technology and computers and internet and not having a place in the community and social network any longer or simplly put becoming no longer useful or needed ...

HAH! I wish. Then my friends would have to join Google+ (Which is better anyway) Facebook is terrible. Not only in terms of privacy, but in terms of basic features. Like, I want to go back to a regular wall, not the stupid timeline thing. If were lucky Facebook burns for real sometime soon though...

Just bashing facebook is not bad. Look to the positive things of facebook, or you can change the way you use it to make so that you like it better. I use both Google Plus and facebook. I do like Google Plus better, but still facebook has something that Google Plus doesn't. facebook is for the people I already know, and my family and friends. That's it. I have 24 friends on facebook, and they are all people I really know, have met (and am friends with) and my family. That's it. Google Pus is for people I am interested in following, like twitter, and for pages that interest me. I share interesting things with people there, and I follow other people that share things that interest me. To me, both are great services. You just need to find a use for both of them, change how you use them and adapt to them.

Facebook having almost 1 billion people on there, half of which are active almost every day, its not true. Facebook leads the online social world. It would take a big thing to make facebook get shut down.

this is a bit of a stretch to say the least again comes down to not believing exactly everything you printed ..

just reading an article cant even remember where at the moment how ever it had point out that in the next 20 year it is possible that half of the world population could own a computer in one form or another ..

to say one billion people are on facebook is a stretch facebook many have a that many accounts open but not that many people not even a sure thing that many people own computers in the world and even if it was only a percentage of them have used the internet of the percentage that have not all have a facebook account ..

this is not technical this is a big difference not much difernt then claims goggle makes everyone that has a blog account a utube account uses picasa or has ever down load the chrome browser are given an G+ account ..

maybe true facebook has collected a billion or near a billion email addresses not a million users so many have multiple accounts not just for the games but there are people who can only afford older used computer who are getting new second third hand computer each time they get one they cant remember the password to accounts they had used and each time start over ..

if these companies all flushed account that were inactive for 30days or longer like many use to not long ago I think you would find goggle yahoo facebook and even myspace are in a much tighter race then they would want any including investors believe ..

You haven't been reading the blogs deeply enough? Facebook is worth over 100 billion! Don't think a company worth that much would randomly shut down.

Yes i have been reading allot about facebook i am aware on how much it is worth. It just hit my mind so i thought id ask what people think as i am a facebook user myself but i am sure google plus might take over , what do you guys think?
