so i know the 60D is a better camera bur for the price difference is it that much better for video? a big selling point for the 60D was the flip out screen but now the T3i has one so i am wondering what is better for video, for such a price difference.

The video is EXACTLY the same. The 550D, 600D (T3i), 60D and 7D all have the same sensor and recording method. They all provide the same video quality!

Yeah, and honestly I wouldn't go for any of them right now for filmmaking purposes. Sure they're great, but you can do better now. After all, the sensor tech in those cameras is 3 years old, on top of the many drawbacks that are not (as) present in most of the newer cameras today. I'm excited to see what other DSLRs and mirrorless cameras will come out this year (can't wait to see the Sony NEX-F5!).
