I think we don't need multiple posts on this, one is good enough

I understand where you're coming from, but the other one was May, this is June.

I completely agree, it should just become something we do as routine here.

I won't be doing it, but people said that this should be quarterly so, you know wait until maybe September/October for fall.

because my comments keep getting deleted i will post here:

First off It is not acceptable for one to delete someones comments because they don't agree with them. It is truly an abuse of power.

alt text

Apparently I did not say anything but I am asked what I said, Seriously Scooby? Have you not figured out that everything on this site is transparent?

alt text

I don't know why he is asking what I said but but so everyone knows I said that I think this question is pointless, The question was asked last month lets leave it at that. I personally find it pointless to have desktop images because I cannot do a whole lot of work looking at my desktop I need to have programs running on top of it. I typically run a lot of programs. and never see the desktop. Also my desktop is the plain blue windows desktop with just the recycling bin, nothing fancy but then again, I don't feel I need it.

Dude, I asked that because basically, if we got a comment for it that @Kevin said, why echo it? Also, I forgot if you said something else. So please, don't act like you're going to blow it up to something else.

P.S- It's not an abuse of power because I don't tolerate crap on my questions. If it's something not to people's liking I'll delete it. My logic still stands. Also since you're against deleting comments and down voting things that's relevant why did you vote down the question? Not trying to start any flame wars or anything.

@Kevin stated his opinions on the matter then @trueb stated his. Could he have possibly stated his in a better manor? Possibly. At the end of the day you may not have realized it but you deleted his opinion. It was /likely/ not an echo of @Kevin but the way he felt about it. Which is exactly why there are comments on questions. So that users can discuss the way they feel about the question and any feelings they may have about it.

As for the last comment you made, you may not have meant it to seem this way but it does come off badly. Before you start going into other people about things think about how you would feel if someone else did it to you. Your comment is deleted and someone puts "I'm sorry what?" at the end. It comes off poorly regardless of whether or not you meant it to.

It seems like a misunderstanding but everyone just needs to think about it from a perspective that isn't their own. That's what I'm trying to do by posting this comment. It's just my /opinion/ as I'm sure it was just @trueb s opinion. Could I be wrong? Sure. but that's how it comes off to everyone else.

EDIT: At the end of the day it's your opinion his comment is crap. Not the community's. The only reason you didn't do the same to @Kevin is because he's an admin. As for why he downvoted it, He clearly disagreed with it. There's no logic; Don't say there is. It's your opinion versus his and that's all it will ever be.

(Jun 10 '12 at 02:25) Zbob750 Zbob750's gravatar image

If he thought the question was pointless, why post it here, that's what I don't understand. If you don't like the question, don't say it. Ignore it. Also, yeah I agree with you at the middle part, I did act kind of shitty when I erased his comment w/o reading it completely. I saw it twice and I assumed it's the same. You're right @Zbob750, you're absolutely right.

P.S.- I assumed it's crap, idk why, but those are the words I chose for some reason. I didn't do it to @Kevin because yeah he is an Admin, and at the rules it says don't argue with him so I respect that. I'm not trying to argue with anyone here like the last time on a different question. I just want to move on.

First off, please don't delete comments simply because you don't like them, it's not fair and I won't tolerate it.

Secondly, people have the right to down-vote and speak their opinion if they don't like something and they certainly shouldn't have to explain their reasoning.

Now, this argument is going to stop right now or you're going to have me to answer to.

I wish to just make one more comment on this matter to address some of the questions that Scooby asked. Yes I voted down his question, I cannot dispute that fact, nor would I want to. I feel that is acceptable if you don't agree with the question. I feel that is entirely acceptable, censoring is not. I even stated my reasons as to why, which I feel is the only respectable way to vote down a question, which was deleted. However, I never censored what you said.

I said what I believe because it is what I believe, not to echo what has been said. I may be a little more blunt and to the point of how I feel when I make comments, I will apologies now if anything I say has or will in the future offend someone, it is never meant to.

I hope we can both move on and respect each other on this site.
