Naaaa, I'd need a laptop. A Tablet can't do the more intensive things like accurately video edit or make music. Yes I am aware of iMovie and Garageband for iPad, but still. The more professional things are still on Desktops/Laptops.

No.

I'll only use my tablet when I'm outside. At home, my PC does everything for me. If I need to move around while I'm at home, I'll just use my laptop.

Not really since I need my desktops over here with the different environments that I am using. So a tablet PC will not be able to do the things that I need to do like I do on my desktop machines.

in trurth yes you can get along with just a tablet it will do everything a desk top will and more :)

in reality many can get more done on the PC bigger monitor key board and such so really a matter o preference and how many hours you spend at the key board staring and typing ..

Its based on personal preferences. Some people like myself deal with other operating systems like Unix, Linux, AIX. Tablet pc wouldn't be able to handle those kind of OS's on their current line of processors, memory configurations and available space that is in there. Current line of computers and laptops are able to handle this since Operating systems like I just mentioned are available for the current line of computers. Tablets may have even a harder time running those kind of OS's. Again it's based on preferences for something like this.

There is no way I could. I need at least a laptop.

Definitely not. For one thing, it would throw any sort of remotely professional video work out the window.

No, not even close. They don't have the connectivity, storage space, application compatibility or the video hardware for it...yet.
