yup all bateries do the key to extending the life of your rechargable battery and not building in memory limits it to run them dead or near dead before recharging them this will help the extend the life of the battery not the amount of time the battery will work before recharge they all loose charge life as time goes on if you recharge the battery once or twice everyday chances are the bettery could stand to be replaced every 7 to 12 months ..

same goes for lap tops talblet MP3 players any thing that runs on recharable bettery if you are going to use your Iphone from home for long periods while plugged into the charger remove the battery leaveing a charged devcice plugged in while useing it kills battery life too ..

Yeah but today's batteries which are Lithium ION batteries last longer. Compared to the old Ni-cads ones which require at least 12 hours to fully recharge them. I have had on my old audiovox cell phone lasted me over 6 years and they were the original batteries for the phone. And that is going through full cycle on recharging them. Usually Lithium batteries only requires about a 3-4 hour charge depending on the battier themselves.

yes, rechargeable batteries die the more cycles you put them though. All rechargeable batteries have a cycle life.

The best way to prolong the life is to drain it as much as you can before charging it again.
