I've been getting a lot of 403 forbidden error messages lately. I know it is possible to get "useful" error messages instead of the 403 error message in Windows Explorer. So I figure Firefox should be able to do the same. How do you set this up in Firefox?

If I recall correctly, this should be an option in the about:config.
Open up a new tab (CTRL+T) or window (CTRL+N).
Type in de addressbar: about:config.
In the filterbar type: error and press enter.
Now set the value of the ‘**browser.xul.error_pages.enabled*‘ to ‘true*‘. Double clicking will do.
This should get you extended warnings instead of the simple warning dialogs.
