Does anyone know where I can find a cheap macbook pro or air? |

Take a look at your local computer recycling centre if they received in a batch of Macs. |

Definitely I would check the refurbished section of Apple.com or a site I found was Powermax.com and also check out gainsaver.com they offer a big selection of used and refurbished macs from brand new to powermacs and powerbooks. |

I'd hit craigslist for the absolutely cheapest. You can sometimes find computers of varying types under $100 (of differing quality and ages). You can sometimes negotiate a trade. On ebay there are way too many retailers selling stuff at market value and you aren't necessarily getting a discount. You may have to check craigslist numerous times before you find someone with a macbook available, though. Alternately, find out if there is a local Mac club and try to contact people on there and see if anyone in the club has used equipment they are willing to part with. |

Yeah...I agree with the rest of the folks here....Craigslist for your area is the place to go! Except if you live in Noplace, Ok somewhere there won't be a wide selection to choose from. If you live in or near a major metro area...check it out. There's usually quite a few Macs for sale. Be careful though, make sure you see it, feel it, touch it...and get a receipt just in case you may end up in civil court or the item is hot property! If it is hot, you won't get it back from the police, but you can sue the thief...how do I know? I've done it and got my money back! It pays to be meticulous. Happy Hunting! |
