Why is it that the only app in windows 8 I ENJOYED using was Windows 7 installation?

I;m not sure. Maybe you like using Windows 7 better than Windows 8. The Metro interface is not for everybody. Some people like it others don't. I don't like it however I know people that do like it. And by the way the "Desktop" button in metro is still Windows 8 but I get what you mean. Either way, Windows 8 is like a food some people like it others don't.
