I recently installed Windows 8 to a flash drive and to my old Acer Aspire 3610. I know the OS is still in beta and that there are still many problems before the official release but I want to get this problem fixed so I can have my laptop work normally with no driver problems. Plus I downloaded Windows 8 because I wanted to see what all the buzz was about. Anyways. The install went fine until I go to surf the internet. None of my wireless drivers work. I go to update my drivers seeing that they might be outdated but when I go to update the drivers say I up to date. None of the wireless drivers work for the internet and I can't get updates to the laptop because I need the internet. The same problem is happening to me with the sound drivers also. The sound is not coming up meaning I can't hear any sounds. The driver says it's up to date but the driver doesn't work.I did everything I could but the drivers don't seem to come up and work. I wonder if there is a way I can download the drivers from the internet from my desktop and install them onto my laptop. If I do and if I can how and where can I get the drivers from? This is a serous problem and I need your help. I took screenshot's of the problems to maybe make it clearer to what I am trying to say but this problem is bugging me since I can not hear any sounds or mostly do half the things with my laptop since I have no internet!

Do you have another computer? If so, log on to the manufacturers website and download the drivers and transfer it via a USB drive and install from there. I have another computer but have no clue what drivers I need and were to get then http://us.acer.com/ac/en/US/content/drivers. If it says you need XP to install it, put it under the XP compatibility mode. It came with XP but I installed Windows 7 last year and Windows 8 yesterday. It originally came with XP Ok, just install the drivers and get back to me. |
