I have a windows 7 PC and I normaly use movie maker to edit videos but I would like to try something different that might have better features! Do you have any suggestions? |

Personally, I use Sony Vegas, and it's a great program. I was using Avid before that, and I could not be happier that someone introduced me to Vegas. |

Yes, I agree with @Data, Sony Vegas is good. Also After Effects is another good one if you can afford that. I personally use Vegas since it's easier for me to pick up. 1
after effects is more for special effects, yes you can edit video but premiere pro is more purpose built specifically for it. After effects, Premiere Pro, why not say the whole Adobe package, lmao. |

i've been using adobe premiere pro a better part of my life, and i would recommended it to anybody. vegas at least to me, definitely a little more challenging to use than premiere pro. |

I have used Avid for a while. It's a affordable software for a new user. Song Vegas is also great, but it cost $600.00. It is worth is from what I hear other people say, but Avid has done me well in the passed. |
