Can i easily fix the trackpad on my Blackberry?

I have a Blackberry Curve 9300 and the Silver round the edge of my Trackpad has worn off, and is very hard to use out in direct sunlight. I can't upgrade my phone until next March, so is there any quick solutions to this?
