Lots of the time when you go to a certain website, without asking, it can automatically reach and post through your status. Now, people can see your pattern of websurfing and you monitor your feed to make sure that YOU are posting from YOUR feed. Ridiculous? |

Not 'without asking' it can't. You may not have noticed but at some time you would have had to give implicit, if not explicit, permission for posting to your Facebook page. Of course, it's easily fixed. Close your Facebook account and, if you open another one, take more care over what you're clicking! |

As a web designer, the advantages to facebook incorporation are many. For example, I can easily implement a comment system that uses facebook logins, so people dont have to create user accounts on my site which many people are hesitant to do. In addition, I can easily implement facebook like or share buttons that promote my pages. There have been many social networking sites over the years and without question, facebook has been the most successful. I do, however, find the "like us on facebook" blurbs on physical products a little silly. |
