I Have A HP Pavilion p7-1125 Desktop Computer, With a Intel Dual-core core i3 2120 (3.3GHz) CPU, 4 GBs Of RAM, and 1696 MBs Of Video Memory. And Im Getting Anywhere From 15 to 25 FPS. My Computers CPU Does Not Use Above 30% When Playing Minecraft... Why Am I Getting Such A Low FPS? Also Im Running Minecraft Snap Shot 12w23b, Which Runs Better Then Minecraft 1.2.5. Thanks! alt text

Minecraft eats memory for breakfast, a good start would be to upgrade your RAM as much as possible for your desktop which is 8GB DDR3 PC3-12800. Also try optifine a mod that may help boost your fps but be aware that it is a mod so you will need to get the most up to date version to ensure it's working properly, also if you play online be sure to ask the moderators if it's ok for you to be using this mod while on their server but since it only optimises how Minecraft runs and your fps i doubt anyone would have a problem with this.

Windows Home Premium 64bit, And I Can Run Enemy Territory Quake Wars, With The Graphics Set To Max With No Problems At All... Could The Low FPS Be Something To Do With My Java? And I Dont Run More Then One Thing At A Time Normally.

Other than upgrading your Ram which tbh i would strongly suggest IF you play Minecraft a fare bit, it really will improve things for you but other than that the only thing i can suggest is playing on some different servers to see if it's connections issues that are the problem? sorry i can't be more help =p

I Have My Own Private Server I Play On When Im At Home, So I Know connection Issues Is Not The Problem. Also I Have Bad FPS When Im Playing On Single Player... I Have Noticed That Minecraft WILL NOT Use More Then 30% Of My CPU... So IDK If Its A Setting In Java Or What.

The problem is the Graphics card, the Intel integrated cards are really nothing special. That's why you've got a low frame rate.

If That Is The Case, Why Can I Play Enemy Territory Quake Wars, With The Graphics Set To Max With No Problems At All? Enemy Territory Has Much Better Graphics Then Minecraft.

I think it's the way Java interacts with the graphics. Java isn't the ideal programming language for gaming...

I blame large world files. For me the larger the world I have - the worse the frame rate and performance.

Im Playing On My Home Minecraft Server, So I Dont Think The Save File Size Would Really Cause The Slow Down.
