Help! Can I fix my micraphone? :(

I have a Logitech h250 headset which I LOVE, but I accidentally pulled it out of my computer by rolling backwards in my computer chair, and I don't know what exactly happen, if the cord inside the plastic wrapping ripped or what, but my computer's can't hear the microphone anymore, and the wire is like half an inch longer than the wire that goes into the speakers slot.. Please, is there anyway I can try to fix this? Any suggestions at all?

I don't have the money to buy a new one, but I really need a headset because I make videos for YouTube, and I was just about to record! Is there any hope for me outside of buying a new one?

Sounds a lot like an internal tear. You'll probably have to buy a new one unless you feel like trying to repair the cord yourself which could be really difficult depending on said cord.

Do you know how I would go about doing that, or could you point me in the right direction? I will try anything I can to fix this.

If it is an internal tear, you would have to cut that section off, strip all the wires in both sides, then re-solder it. Alternately, before you do cut the wire, use an exacto knife and slice away layers of the insulation where you suspect the tear until you hit wire. Make sure to be careful. If you see a broken wire, well, you'll have to fix it.
