Wireless mouse and PS/2 port?

Can a USB wireless mouse be pluged into a PS/2 port?
I have only one USB port on my laptop and a PS/2 port, I want to get a usb mouse but I don't want to use up my USB port as I need it for my flash drive.
I'm hoping that I don't have to use a wired mouse as the cord is a damn nuisance.
I've been searching for awhile now and haven't found an answer yet.

0	PS/2 does not have usb capabilities, however you can plug a PS/2 mouse into a usb port via adaptors, the port simply cannot support the wireless mouse, and how do you not have a spare usb port, go and buy a cheap usb hub. answered Jun 19 '12 at 01:31 pjob797 2.6k●38●49●82

There is adaptors for this situation, you can get usb to ps/2 adaptors, they are however not very common so you may have a difficult time finding one. try ebay or amazon.

I already have the adapter, but I don't want to waste the money on a wireless mouse if the PS/2 port doesn't support it.
