I am a few weeks from purchasing the New iPad and can't decide wheather to choose white or black. please help me out, what are your suggestions, experiences and/or value. Thanks heaps. Jacob. |

I say it boils down to preference. Much like my answer to PC vs Mac. If you like white, get it. If you are just dying to get black, do so. I love the look of both but I would go with white since it matches the color of a lot of stuff in my room. That is another thing. If your living space suits a white device like mine, I recommend that. But if you hang out in a stainless steel/black area, I would go with black. But again, it's your say. Just ask this to yourself: "What do I like most?" |

I always go for the black iOS devices! As much as Apple are great with design, white on most devices just looks tacky and cheap. Black is sleek and stylish! |

Hi there, I got a White iPad and I liked it much more than the black one and it also looks much smaller without the black frame. Go for White... A small correction: There are "no" iPad 3s. Logically there should be. But Apple has decided that we (the users) might get confused and might not be able to count passed # 2. So now we have iPad and it's designated as the "NEW" iPad. I guess the next iteration of this product will be The NEW NEW iPad and so on. :) Good luck and I am sure you will love that Retina display. it is amazing! |

I would assume that you're a male (your name is Jacob...). Females tend to buy the white ones. Thank you for you contribution, though i would have thought the white would have put a bit more value on it when reselling after a few years. Thanks again They're both valued the same. I think that the black iPad looks so much better because when the screen is off it's just a huge black slate of glass, but with the white iPad, you have a screen and a border. It just doesn't look as luxurious. Yeah i think i will go with the black, seeings that it was also my first inisial Choice :) 2
white is not for females! And yes the white ones have a higher resale value. Trust me, drop selling iPads and phones is one of my favorite hobbies. I own a white iPhone myself and i believe it looks a lot sexier than the black one that EVERYONE has. 1
I'm just saying that a girl is more likely to buy a white one than a guy is. Also, there really isn't a difference in resale value. White isn't for females... I don't know how that stereotype got on here. White is a different choice from the Piano black Apple has had for a long time. Sure I own a black device, but white is a good option too. Although I agree with the statement about colors not being gender-specific. It is not a stereotype, in the case of iPhones there were recent studies showing that women tended to prefer the white versions. It's a statistic and although not necessarily one that represents all of everyone, it is a statistic nonetheless.
