I don't see much of a need to go use the Microsoft Surface, as the iPad does what I want it to do. EDIT: I am however interested in seeing there the Microsoft Surface is going. |

targetting ipad is foolish unless u build an ecosystem like that, it takes quality art, science and skills to deliver what apple does and yeah u have to agree with that. Ms has given us windows 7 a great os and chris was damn right that it still had elements of windows 95 underneath the wise step was to improve and build upon that great os then screwing it all up with windows 8. Be yourself ms and recognize ur userbase then step into newer territories, now listen up if google android cant beat quality of ipad and ios what makes u think u can? |

I use iPad. But I am very excited about the new Microsoft surfaces. I want to take a look at it. As Developers & even user, we should not limit ourselves to one platform. We Develop and/or use those devices that are best and have most innovativeness. |

I've never used the surface before, so I'm not making a decision JUST yet. I want the Windows 8 Pro tablet, I don't want RT because of no legacy support. |

I think going after the iPad is not the right thing to do actually. It seems as if everyones competition is just Apples iPad. Microsoft should be going after Android, because if they pass them up, then that is a good thing. From what I know about the Surface, it sounds really good for people who really need to get things done. Like with businesses, who are really used to doing things with Windows, and having a full operating system in a tablet is a great thing. But the main question for this is how much is it going to cost. If it a good price, then I might get it. If it is like the Slate, which cost like $1,000 for one, then I will not get one. And they won't sell well. Like the Kindle Fire, cheep, and does just about everything a average person does, will make it successful. Other factors like battery life make a difference too. |
