I want to boot/install linux mint 13 from usb, on my pc however, when i go into the BIOS to set the boot order there is no option for it.

Is it still possible?

If your motherboard doesn't support it then you won't be able to do it. Try pressing the boot options key while the computer is booting, usually F8 or something, and see if the usb comes up in those options.
