Mac mini 2.3 ghz or 2.5 ghz?

You won't notice the difference with turbo boost and the fact that it's ivy bridge will help a lot too. Going from a Celeron to an i series processor will be faster no matter the ghz. I would go for the 2.3 since they charge you out the ass for the extra .2 ghz. Its just not worth it and not much of a difference between those two either.

If you're switching in over a year you should probably make decision based on what is out then. But if you can afford the 2.5ghz obviously go for that!

i dout very much there is to much difference today not a lot give much credence to processor as if it 1 GHZ or 2 GHZ companies have stopped highlighting this point since the numbers started rolling backwards.

today its about cores dual core you would have 5 GHZ of computer power if its labeled 2.5 quad core would be 10GHZ of computing power.. companies that make the processor have started pouring there research into other areas security and ARM because there is much more that can be done in other areas they have almost pushed the 386 as far as necessary and possible and for now at least have to ask is there really a need or market for 128 bit processor the trend today is toward smaller and smaller and faster they can do that with ARM there are hand held device that are more powerful then your desktop and lap tops they don't yet have the storage capacity of a desk top they don't really need it aps are much smaller but none the less this is why cloud computing is become the way, all your computer need is enough power to boot up a net connection and a browser ... when you really think about when it comes to personal computing and even business computing this is heading in the right direction why does everyone need to have copy's of bloated software that takes gobs of memory to run and bring the computer back to the size of the everyday house again when with cloud computer one computer has a copy of the program running you just need power enough t to get to it with a browser to make use of it ..

I have the 2.3ghz. I do mostly Chrome, hd video, iTunes, just the basic stuff and I rarely get a hiccup. It can also handle most application tasks very well. I also upgraded to 8gb of cheap ram and did an easy YouTube installation. I recommend this. On my iPhone now so it's hard to type but if you don't game or build 3d models, I'd stick w the 2.3 version.. Good luck
