How do I format my Mac's hard drive and reinstall the OS?

As some of you may know I have been thinking of selling my Mac to get a MacBook Pro. Well, I have no idea how to wipe it's hard drive and reinstall the OS. I downloaded the Lion OS from the App store which means I don't have the hard copy to boot from. How do I accomplish a reinstall? By the way I run a MacBook white Unibody 2010 with the following specs if it helps at all

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4Ghz
4GB DDR3 RAM
240GB 5400 RPM HDD

Wasn't there an option for that where you could download it through by hitting the c button on bootup for that version of the laptop. (Gets loaded via wired or wireless setup mode.) And wipe it clean and do the installation fresh that way. Since it was or still is registered in your name. And go from there. I remember hearing about that from Apple where they are no longer shipping the cd/DVD with the laptop or desktop.

Yes, sorry, I will close this. I figured it out with some deeper looking. I just have to hold the option key when it boots. From there, I can access the restore thing. Thanks anyway.
