My old computer with an intel core 2 quad and 3gb ram Can record better with the same card. Is it just the motherboard that cant run the Video card because its made for AMD Or is it the computer??

A large sum AMD motherboards don't support SLI, but support Crossfire. However, standard Nvidia cards still work great. I think the problem lies within the chipset. Since AMD makes the chipsets, they can control what technologies that are going to be supported. I'm pretty sure that only the AMD 990X and 990FX chipsets support SLI, and most decent gaming AMD motherboards use the 970 chipset.
