I've tried compatibly mode but it doesn't work with some games that were designed for earlier versions of Windows such as XP & 95. I would very much like to know if there's a definitive answer as to whether older games can play on more recent MS OSes after the compatibly mode attempt has been tried and failed and how to do this. Thank you for your time. |

There is a program that works great at running programs like old games for the <2000 computers. I forgot the name but you can find it with a few keywords into Google. |

That would be DOSBox, an x86 emulator with DOS Hmm, DOS...I'm not sure. The games I would like to play aren't DOS based. They play in the windows environment. I suppose it could be launched from DOS. I'll give it a try. |

Use virtual box or VMware player, download a Windows 98 install disk file, install it and find a product key, there is one that Microsoft released that works on all Windows 98, just Google around for it. |
