As you can see in this picture, you see that in both places the time remaining is different. Which one is the correct one, and why is it like this? I recently put in a new battery so this might be the problem, but I don't know. I'm using a Dell Latitude D620.

i have seen this before with win7 not sure why my self but it never seemed to be an issue not sure if this means much but the lap top I had that I noticed the issue with was also a dell ..

I have had this issue on the same lap top different charge levels between windows and linux too but that seems to make more sense :)

one possible cause is if you had just been running a program that was using the battery at a high level of discharge like Skype video call with your browser and stuff going when you shut Skype down and close the program it is possible that the spped of drain is less so the numbers go up it chad time to change on one display and not on the other ..

Thanks for your comment, but that last comment IDK about. I only had Windows Update open and it differed from an hour and 14 minutes remaining to 2 hours 15 minutes. IDK which one to go with because hey, I need to know if I can be away from my charger for X amount and not regret it.

like I said that was just a guess really I never honestly figured out what caused it or ran in to anyone who knew of it or could explain it.

Ah well good looking out though. It's a new battery so it might need time to settle out.
