Both Mac and Linux offer workspace functionality where the user is allowed to use multiple working areas which are easily switchable. I find it weird that this feature is not available in Windows. Who uses this feature? I know I couldn't be as productive as I am without it.

Windows doesn't have this out of the box, but if you add VirtuaWin it does, :)

I loved using it on my linux machine. I have not had a chance to reopen my linux machine with the last 7-8 months.

I use it heavily on my more capable Linux machines. Alt+Ins and and Alt+Del to add or remove workspaces on the fly.

I don't really use it at all no. Seems like a gimmick that doesn't provide much use. Just one extra thing to do.

I use CubeDesktop. It is just like spaces for mac, and you can do different animations and such. Its neat. Its not free, and its fairly dated, but runs on Win7 ultimate with no hiccups.
