I was looking at http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820227725 OCZ Agility 3 60GB SSD. My mobo only has SATA 2 but this says backwards compatible. I was going to install Windows 7 and install most of my apps and data on my 500GB 7200RPM HDD. I want one UNDER $85.00. I also looked at an Crucial M4 64GB but the write speed was only 95MBPS and that was on SATA 3! I would hate to see what it would be on SATA 2... Please tell me you experiences. I would prefer to buy one on NewEgg or TigerDirect only. If you've had the Agility 3 or currently do. Please tell me if you would recommend it to me! Thanks. EDIT: After more research on M4 64GB, I am deciding to get it! Well I got no answers... Can a mod close this question?

I think that really the price differentiates the read and write speed of the SSD where maybe the cheapest one would defeat the purpose of the benefits of a Solid State Drive.

this list works really well for finding a good SSD http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/ssd-benchmark-review,3237.html

Keep in mind that advertised SSD speeds are only achieved with the highest capacity versions of the SSD as they have more channels.

Also do not go below a 120GB SSD if you plan to install an OS on it

Remember with SSD's you get even less space than what you pay for as some of it is reserved for overprevisioning and wear leveling purposes.

they also follow the same formatting crap where the hard drive uses 1000MB per GB while your OS will use 1024MB per GB

overall the SSD size you get will always feel too small.
