Hello, I'm trying to install Windows 7 x86 or x64 but i get an error when it sticks to a certain percentage. The error code is 0x8007045D on other blogs they say that my installation disk is the problem. But i tried several disks and ISO files, also tried installing form USB. So what could be the problem? thx,

I used to get this error when I was trying to install Windows Vista a while back. I had the retail DVD and I only got the error when installed on my computer and not others. I tried all the solutions out there and nothing seemed to work. The only thing I did was just keep trying the installation over and over until it finally installed successfully. I know it's not much of a solution but keep at it and trying things and you'll find the solution. |

What computer are you installing to? Is it custom built or store bought? Also, do you have the OEM disk or a .iso copy burnt to a DVD or USB?
@DJ Scooby Doo It's a packard bell laptop, and i'm using a .iso copy burnt to dvd and a bootable usb. The dvd i'm using worked on my other pc's. Also i can't install linux (also stops at the install)
Hmm, did you change anything in the BIOS or added any hardware to the computer recently?
Is it using a 32 or 64 bit processor?
@DJ Scooby Doo I didn't add hardware and is reloaded the bios original settings just to be sure. @pjob797 I don't know what processor it uses but i tried both.
it's a packard bell easynote tk87 go 231
If it's anything like the link I provided, I think it's 64-bit.

Oh, never mind I thought you were trying to install it on a very old machine, didn't know they still made Packard Bells...
