its a lot of work, my dad always advocate the fact that "build your brand, build your name, build your identity(unique)" and deliver excellence, all u have to do is write your top skills on paper and assess what are the things you are good at and what are the things u are not that good at.

today u dont need conventional place or set up to earn money, like chris has shown us through lg all u need is determination and brand building.

Even i like self employment more than doing "job" for someone.

for eg: in my field which is graphic design i had to build first presence, then here in India u dont just earn by designing stuff on "screen" u gotta provide "services" too like printing services for brochures, floor plansets, business cards, hosting and management for websites and etc, lots of services so that customer dont have to walk to other places for all things combined, thanks to social media the presence part was easy, let me tell u customer is very demanding and u gotta be better than ur competitor and extract fair margins so that u keep doing work in the long run. and most of all I Love my fied!

Also try n save lot of money, hp had the slogan "limited resources, unlimited potential" this is very true for entrepreneurs, they shud be skilled enuf to extract the best out of limited resources, when i was starting i had pathetic specced computer and i had to learn many things to optimize my workflow but at the same time deliver stunning quality work to customers. I save lot of money it has become a habbit and in the future this money will only help you. Buy what is really important and necessary for you and your business is something i have learned from chris too.

Most work from jobs will be customer service over the phone. Home Shopping Network for example. Other than that I think you will have to be self employed with your own business. I'm sure there are many work at home jobs but the best ones are people who are self employed.
