The latest t-mobile commercial claims that their 4G service is faster than home internet or wifi. But in reality, nothing is really faster or more reliable than a wifi connection. IS T-mobile making false claims? especially since they leave out the part where their 4G/3G data throttles after 2GB/month, or slows down to a point where it's useless.

In almost all cases, Wifi is going to be faster than mobile internet. Ethernet will be even faster. However, T-Mobile is allowed to say this because if you have a cell phone directly next to the 4G transmitter without any interference, it will be faster than old wifi technology.
The main point of this advertising is to try to trick people that don't know any better, if you look at the small print, you will probably find the exact speeds for the statistics that they are comparing.
