Ok, so my comp has a virus which is bringing up a fake "Security Sphere 2012" software. My subscription to Webroot Anti-Virus has expired and I'm trying to download AVG Anti-Virus 2012. The problem is this fake software is blocking all downloads. What should I do?
EDIT: Thanks for the help, guys, but that didn't work. The only other option I have is to buy the software full on a disk. Should I try that?

Or Boot into safemode on that computer and redownload avg onto the computer. Uninstall the old antivirus and install the avg and run it so you can get rid of the malware on your computer that is preventing you to allow you in downloading the application.

My sister's computer ran into a virus that wouldn't let her go onto websites, but wouldn't block direct downloads. So, we were able to find and type in the address of the antivirus website that would give us the installer. It downloaded, installed, and everything was good after that.
I don't know the nature of this virus, but it's definitely worth a shot.

Load Malwarebytes onto a USB stick or a CD/DVD and try that. Or get Microsoft's Standalone System Scanner on a USB stick or a CD/DVD.

1, start in safe mode with networking.
this is done by pressing the F8 key on startup of the computer (keep pressing it if you don't know when you are supposed to, don't worry if you hear beeps), wait for the black screen with the options and select 'safe mode with networking'
2 wait for the computer to start up and download and install Malwarebytes
update it and do a full system scan once installed. you can also remove Webroot Anti-Virus and download a free anti virus like AVG or Avast free edition, there are quite a lot of free antivirus programs but those are the most popular.
if you cant scan in normal mode, you can start in safe mode and scan, in safe mode the bare minimum start up so the spyware/malware wont start and prevent removal of it, and in safe mode/with networking it wont start so wont prevent anti virus/spyware/malware programs being downloaded and installed.
