i don't think this, because i have never had it, but lots of people that i know that work in IT say that it's security properties are not as good as some free ones. i just wanted to see what you think?

Although Norton is expensive, I think people are missing the FREE norton software...that people can just download...when and if they have Comcast. if you go to security.comcast.net, you can download Norton for FREE just by using your Comcast email. Too bad namt many people know about it.

As a malware researcher/security specialist, I have to say that Norton is a resource hog, it is now been named as "Bloatware", Norton also has a high false positive rate.

I recommend getting Kaspersky, Avast, Avira, etc. as a alternative.

Yes. Norton is overrated, and ended up crashing my old computer (long story, please don't ask).

Now I use Avast for free, and it works wonders for me :)

Yes there are much better options. One very good quality free option is Microsoft's anti-virius suite but if you want paid try ESET
